About Rotaract
Rotaract of West Georgia was founded in 2014 to help young professionals commit to a higher standard of service, leadership and learning. While attending The University of West Georgia, our founding member, Miringu Kiare, wanted a way to assist collegiate students to develop their professional and personal skills that would prepare them to work in collaborative roles as leaders. His vision has since helped our club evolve into a civic organization that partners with collegiate institutions, business owners and nonprofit organizations within both Carrollton and Douglasville, Georgia. Under the guidance of our sponsoring Rotary Club, the Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary, Rotaract of West Georgia has expanded its efforts to connect our members with other community leaders in Carrollton and Douglasville. These efforts have provided an inclusive and diverse experience that caters to the mission for the West Georgia area.

Rotaract of West Georgia is a part of Rotary International which is the largest Service Organization in the world. With over 1.2 million members worldwide in over 200 countries, the Rotary network is comprised of civic minded individuals who come together to create positive change in their communities and elsewhere. Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club serves as our sponsoring club and through its 23-year history, we continue to implore the club’s rich history of embodying service above self. Our club is located in Rotary District 6900 which includes Atlanta Metro.
