The Free Little Pantry Fill-Ups

Our club debuted its First Signature Service Project, The Free Little Pantry Fill-Ups, in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic to support those within the Carrollton city limits with non-perishable grocery items, personal hygiene products, paper products, baby items and kid-friendly items. We joined Carrollton’s Little Pantry movement of neighbors helping neighbors at a very trying time for everyone world-wide.

Initially, Rotaract of West Georgia placed at least two grocery bags filled with non-perishable food, snacks, water and hygiene necessities in every Little Pantry located within the city limits on a bi-weekly basis. We have sine participated in this project every three months to assist with keeping the pantries stocked for our local residents in need.

Through this program, which is in partnership with other local nonprofits, we were able to inspire local Carrollton City and County School organizations and student organizations from The University of West Georgia to participate in maintaining the pantries. Since the program’s founding, Rotaract of West Georgia has contributed numerous times in the past two years in partnership with other local organizations.
